Bedtime stories with Olive the owl
The bedtime story where your child is the hero
Olive the owl tells the story. Your child's own hero acts it out, and your child decides what happens next by tapping a picture or simply saying it. Then a cosy goodnight, every night.

How it works
Three small things, and bedtime becomes the best bit of the day.

Step 1: Make your hero
Hair, skin, glasses, freckles, even a hearing aid, so the hero on screen looks like your child. Everything they earn in a story, from a scarf to a crown, is theirs to keep.

Step 2: Choose what happens next
Olive asks a question at every turn. Your child answers by tapping a picture or just saying it out loud, and the story follows them. No two nights are the same, and the kingdom remembers the friends they made last week.
Step 3: A cosy goodnight
Towards the end the lights dim and the hero slows down. Olive tucks them in, the kingdom goes to sleep until morning, and a lullaby and soft sleep sounds play with the screen dark.
For the grown-ups
Made by a parent who was tired of inventing a brand-new story at half past seven.
No adverts, ever
No adverts, nothing to buy inside a story and no links out. The app is for bedtime, not for selling.
Bedtime actually ends
You choose how many stories a night. After the last one, Olive says goodnight and the kingdom sleeps until morning.
You choose what stories help with
Pick a focus such as kindness, bravery or sharing. Stories give your child's hero a chance to try it. No lectures, and no wrong answers.
Stories stay on your device
Your child's stories, hero and friends live on your phone or iPad, not on our servers. The For parents page explains it in plain words.
Gentle rewards
Stickers, things to wear and memories of past adventures. Nothing is ever taken away, and there are no streaks to lose.
For ages 3 to 8
Stories adapt to the age you set, so a three-year-old and a seven-year-old each get a story that fits them.
